Universal design in active living
This video introduces the concept of active living for all, as a way of life that integrates physical activity into daily routines, such as walking for transportation, vising a park, and participating in recreational activities. How we design places for active living can therefore impact people’s abilities to be physically active. This is where Universal Design thinking can be an effective tool to ensure that the built environment supports physical activity for all, no matter age, physical or mental abilities.
