This Lunch Bag Bite explores two studies that are part of a PhD research project by Valeria Borsotti. The first study examines how norms and values related to gender and race are reproduced through humor traditions within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen.

The second study, titled “Neurodiversity and Accessible Universities,” focuses on students who identify as neurodivergent. It specifically looks at the experiences of neurodivergent students in computer science programs across three universities in Denmark. The study highlights the various access barriers these students face, as universities are not inherently accessible. The Lunch Bag Bite identifies three main types of access barriers that neurodivergent students encounter.

In respect of our presenters at Lunch Bag Lectures, the terms, language and use of concepts that the researchers find appropriate in their field of research are used according to their choice.
